Conner was born in Los Angeles, by a pureblood mother and a muggleborn father. His mother Leona had returned to America to give birth to him, not wanting her family to realize that she had decided to build a life with a muggleborn. Thus Conner was born to a mother that adored him, and a father who as soon as found how much responsibility a child meant, ran off with the first muggle he could. His mother decided to change his name from Conner Ferguson to Conner Bailey under her own name. They moved to New York at the age of five, in a magical community. His mother wasn't the fondest of the muggle community, but she could never deny him anything. So at any opportunity he would drag her to movie complexes and her dislike for muggles remained yet his happiness made it all worthless.

At the age of ten, he was once again asked to move with his mother back to London. Her mother explained the situation to her parents, the fact that her child was a halfblood but rather than push them away, they accepted them as their own, pushing for the fact that the Bailey name could cover up her mistake. His mother always said "you are the best that has ever come out of that mistake of a nuptial." He took it in stride knowing that she did anything she could to have him succeed.

At eleven he was sorted into Hufflepuff, much to her mother's annoyance, but to his glee. He didn't have the pressure that was given to being a Gryffindor like his mother and instead he had his own path to make. He had lots of friends he supposed. But his best mate become someone surprisingly different than he was. Benjamin Watson, a Slytherin became his best mate and since their fourth year they became partners in every class possible. He knows that there were certain classes he passed that that were thanks to Ben.

At thirteen, his mother remarried to a man, another pureblood. He was a good man Conner supposed. He did lose his chances of living in the muggle world and they returned to the Wizarding home. He didn't really enjoy it and often times would run off to explore the muggle world once more. His mother didn't say her disapproval out loud, but the looks said enough. His father, Thomas Lambert disapproved but knew that he had no right to say anything to Conner, and he appreciated that.

Surprisingly enough, Ben also helped him with his first love. Her name was Lisa, a sweet young Ravenclaw who he began to date for three years. Definitely someone he thought about going steady with and doing the classic ritual of a promise ring. But as graduation came, they slowly started drifting apart. Ben was the one that told him that Lisa had a new boyfriend within three days of breaking up. Now he's in his second year of school dorming and trying to get his life together.
