| Despite his new responsibilities as Headmaster, Codey had not been able to give up teaching altogether. After all, he was a Dragoneer - or, Dragon Trainer, as they were commonly referred to - and it was etched into his very being. There was no way he could not teach, although he had passed on one class, instead choosing to only maintain Dragons of the World. Sitting himself on his desk, he glanced around at the classroom layout, tables and chairs only available in the first row; he didn't want anyone to sit too far at the back.
How many students would show up, he wasn't sure. He knew the numbers, of course, but how many were serious and how many would back out last minute Codey could never estimate until classes started. In any case, those that missed out would have something to regret, for Codey was not going to give any leeway unless they had very good reasons for being absent.
On each desk sat a single piece of parchment, three questions written on them. On the board behind him were the instructions: "Take a seat and fill in the questionnaire. Hand them up the moment you finish. The lesson begins after everyone has passed up. There are no right answers, so be honest."
This would be the best way to separate those who had a heart for the subject and those that didn't, and - truth be told - Codey only had intentions to teach the former.[[OOC: Copy and paste the following and include that in your first post. ]] - Code:

| The fact that classes were starting was something that got Cordelai genuinely excited. Dragons were one of the few creatures she tolerated, let alone loved. For her, there was no other option when it came to her life. Marriage and settling down and having a family was... interesting, but not what she wanted yet. Perhaps, eventually, she would find someone worthy of her loyalty, but for now, that lay with her family and her alone.
Stepping into the class quite a few minutes early, she was not overly surprised to see the headmaster there. Ellingston, a man with a wonderfully respectably last name, and yet was not highly respected in the Pureblood world itself. The man, though, was well known among Dragoneers, and Cordelai already had immense respect for the man that she had not yet met. Stories were abound, and if they were half true, he was definitely someone she wouldn't mind striving to be like.
"Good morning," she greeted, eyes darting to the layout of the room, the piece of paper, and the instructions on the board. Choosing a seat right in front, she got out her quill and got to work at once, frowning slightly at the type of questions. Introspective, something that would and could reveal a lot about a person, and overall a very smart move on behalf of their Professor. He was either using this to see the strengths of the students, their knowledge, or their will for the class.
The second question was the easiest, and the one she attempted first - but the other two... They made her hesitate for a moment. Did Professor Ellingston want actual honesty, or did he want right answers, despite him claiming there weren't any? She paused, thinking deeply for a few moments before making up her mind; if the man asked for honesty, honesty she would give. Putting the quill to the paper, she wrote out her answers in neat penmanship, stopping only when she had finished. Quickly double checking her words, she nodded to herself and got up to hand it in before returning to her desk. Leaning back in her chair, she waited for other students to arrive and for the lesson to start.
- Cordelai's Answers:
1) Why do you want to become a Dragoneer? I have always been obsessed with these creatures. Ever since I was in Hogwarts, this has been the only option for me. My blood purity indicates I should marry at some point, and perhaps someday I will, but for now my heart and mind is set firmly on working with the only creatures I have ever respected and loved - horses notwithstanding. Those beasts can run.
2) What is your favourite dragon species and why? I love all dragons equally. I suppose if I had to pick one, though, I would say it was the Antipodean Opaleye, simply because they're the most appealing visually.
3) What can you bring to this field that makes you different from any of the other Dragoneers? Myself. Who else can be me?

| The semester was starting again and Seth couldn't wait to get to class. He'd enjoyed the holidays, no doubt about that, but he was beginning to tire of all the Pureblood functions he had to attend. And now that he was courting Serafina, he had to spend alone time with her in public and pretend that he could tolerate her. In all honesty - though he'd rather die than let anyone hear him admit it - Serafina wasn't half bad. She provided stimulating and intellectual conversation and wasn't all like the simpering girls he slept with and chucked away. He only felt that she was too stuck-up for her own good. Even if she was better than everyone else, there was no reason to show it.
He thought back to a night in the club and a particular female he met there. Now, that was one Pureblood female he wouldn't mind marrying. She was contemporary and held modern views. After all, Seth didn't think Serafina would be caught dead in a nightclub. An idea entered his mind and he pondered over it as he made his way to class. Perhaps their next date could be at a night club. A Muggle night club. Now, that would be interesting. She'd probably refuse though. She's too prim and proper Seth thought. Oh well, there was nothing he could do about that.
He entered the classroom and greeted the professor cheerfully. The next person he saw was Cordelai. He gave his signature grin. "Hi there, Cordelai," he greeted, adding in a wink. He took a seat beside her and glanced at the piece of parchment. One eyebrow went up as he scanned what was written on it. He wasn't surprised that Professor Ellingston would do something like these but he hadn't expected him to spring the questions to them now. He thought for a while before writing down his answers. Once he was done, he handed it up and made his way back to his seat.- Seth's Answers:
1) Why do you want to become a Dragoneer? Besides the fact that my mother explicitly and repeatedly forbade it? I love dragons, always have. They are magnificent creatures and deserve to be cared for and trained properly. Too many people nowadays mistreat them and I intend to stop that.
2) What is your favourite dragon species and why? I don't quite have a favourite species but I'm most intrigued by the Swedish Short-Snout. The flames they produce are not the usual red or yellow. They are rarely sighted which makes me all the more curious about them.
3) What can you bring to this field that makes you different from any of the other Dragoneers? Well, you'll find out soon enough.

| The first thing Vi noticed when she entered the classroom was the lack of a back row of seats. That was the first thing to annoy her that day. Violet preferred the back row- it ensured that she wouldn't be called upon unless she wanted to be called upon- or rather she felt like blurting out the answer when she knew it. It was a rare time that she didn't know the answer, but she didn't like to risk looking stupid.
Furthermore, the questionnaire… She didn't understand why he wanted to know. But with a sigh, she took a seat and filled it out as quickly as possible to get it over with. She was brief with her answers, mainly because she wasn't one to go on and on and on about why she loved things- she was blunt.
- Spoiler:
1) Why do you want to become a Dragoneer? There's just something attractive about being able to say that you train some of the most dangerous creatures in the world. It's impressive.
2) What is your favourite dragon species and why? Hungarian Horntail- they're dangerous and deadly. What more could you want in a dragon? I suppose there could be dragons even more dangerous than that one, but I'll find out those in time.
3) What can you bring to this field that makes you different from any of the other Dragoneers? A great load of things make me different. I can assure you that you won't meet another like me- that's a promise.
