| Pureblood Families are important within our game. We want to be able to have family names, to be able to form connections and so forth. If you are interested in having a pureblood, you must fill out an application. Remember, purebloods will tend to be of the lesser percentage in this game, since it's been a century since the second wizarding war, marriage, breeding, etc. You must complete your character's application, and have it accepted by an admin/mod, before your pureblood history will be accepted.
Copy the code below and paste it into a reply. You will then either be added to the pureblood index, or an Admin will contact you.* We now enforce that you have a connection to one of the families below, if you wish to have a pureblood. It doesn't need to be a close connection. (That shall be discussed between you and the person who already claimed a family) Note that Pureblood claims are temporarily CLOSEDPureblood Index- Brennham:
Family Name: Brennham Members: Devin Family History: The Brennham family has been around for many, many years and can be traced back to a period of time before Tom Riddle was even in Hogwarts. The earliest members were Pureblood extremists, believing that Muggle, half-bloods, and the like were scum and needed to be eradicated. These first few Brennhams could be found doing illegal acts and crimes against those not of their class, and earned their wealth by hiring out their services.
However, by the time that Voldemort came into power, the Brennham family that were around did not possess the same mindset of their grandparents. Nobody knows exactly when or how this change of heart happened, but most Brennham members were against the torture and killing of muggles, even if not vocal about their stance.
During Voldemort's regaining of power, a few members of Death Eaters belonged to the Brennham family; their names are gone from all record, having been disowned. While a few belonged to Dumbledore's army, most kept away from all fighting, or acted as secret spies so that they were not directly involved. When the Dark Lord lost the Battle of Hogwarts, they stepped forward to receive the glory and fame for their part in helping the winning side, making it sound grander and more risky than it actually was.
The Brennhams are a rich family, but a money savvy one, never throwing around the cash or wasting it on petty things. Instead, they spend their money wisely, using it to further their power and status - they only give to charity to make a name for themselves, never because they truly care.
Modern Brennhams are now opposites of their founding members, loving Muggles and the like. However, they still believe that their blood gives them a higher standing; they feel that blood purity does still play a part. As such, they take an almost pitying view towards all others, helping them whenever they can. They also firmly stand by traditions such as arranged marriages, and all Brennhams are results of just that; each Brennham is raised with this understanding and expectation etched into them, and are faithful to their spouse because of it. Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? Not so much at this point, unless you have a really good plot; PM me if you do and we can discuss things, but for now it's a tentative no.
- Caldwell:
Family Name: Caldwell Members: William, Aurore, Cadence, Philippe, Mischa Family History: The Caldwell family, whose roots can be traced back to Scotland, were one of the New York landowner families involved in the founding of the North American magical community. Their ancestor, Elizabeth Stolberg Caldwell, was one of the first members of Ilvermorny's board of governors, and most of her descendants (who were often sorted into either Horned Serpent or Thunderbird) often took on high positions in the MACUSA. Even her squib descendants ended up working for the American government. The Caldwells, however, are not particularly patriotic—the influential positions they take aren't out of benevolence as much as it is their desire to remain significant in the American magical community.
Currently, the Caldwell family are still situated in New York, and most of the members of the family work in MACUSA (aside from owning vineyards wherein the wines are sold both in the magical community and the No-Maj world). The Caldwells are also connected to various pureblood families, such as the New York Stolbergs and Moseleys, the French Beauregards (who are also of Veela descent), the Puerto Rican Montanos, the Filipino Herreras and the Brazilian de Sousas. The Caldwell family are also known for having matriarchs instead of patriarchs, as the Caldwell women (even those who are only Caldwell by marriage) often turn out to be more headstrong and ambitious than the Caldwell men. In fact, the Caldwell women of the 1920s were known for joining the Suffragette movement, and during the Second World War Martha Caldwell Herrera built a shelter for Filipinos in war-torn Manila.
Despite the Caldwells' charity work, they are not a completely innocent family. Some of the Caldwells in the 1800s had spoken against rights for human and magical creature hybrids, and one Benjamin Caldwell even wrote a manifesto about human superiority. Though there aren't any known bigoted Caldwells in the modern-day world, some magical families still hold grudges against them, as the Caldwell bigots from history contributed to years of systematic oppression that still affect those families to this day. The current matriarch, Beatrice Caldwell (younger cousin to Martha Caldwell Herrera), is working hard to undo what the Caldwells have done, but history isn't very forgiving. - Clarence:
Family Name: Clarence Members: Julietta, Franco, Pietro, Rosso, Florentina Family History: The Clarence family originate from Italy and England, where Thomas Clarence married Carlotta Moretti in order to settle a dispute over land between the two families. It was a Romeo-Juliet except it ended much more successfully. As this occurred somewhere around the 11th century, the specifics of the squabbles aren't quite known, but it's speculated to be something to do with fighting over land.
Their wealth is old money, kept within the family name where the eldest male child inherits the fortune. Their primary source of income came from leasing land to other Italian wizarding families.
With the two families joining, they seemed to have settled their differences. The Clarences remained in Italy until very, very recently (18th century), where Julietta and Franco migrated back over to England, simply for a change of scenery. After being there for a while, they decided that they rather enjoyed the UK and eventually decided to move there. The current generation of Clarences keep their Italian heritage alive and well, and still do own the land that they left behind in Italy, and still do generate much income from that, as well as Franco having a prestigious position in the ministry. They're extremely well off and have quite a fortune to hand down. Family Connections: Ellingston Are you Open to connections? Tentative yes- please contact first
- Corbett:
Family Name: Corbett
Members: Seth
Family History: The Corbetts came into existence when an early member married an Ellingston female a few years after Voldermort’s death. As the family expanded, they gained considerable wealth mainly from property investments. A most notable property they bought over was the abandoned Allingham castle which they resurrected and renamed to become the Corbett castle.
Though not afraid to make their wealth known to other purebloods, the Corbetts are not known to rub it into other people’s faces, only showing their wealth when it would grant them more business deals. Although most of the men in the family are cautious about spending their money and wise about investments and such, the women are most notorious for spending money on clothes and fashionable accessories.
Since their birth, the Corbetts have been steadily gaining status and fame amongst other Purebloods, mainly through marriage to other notable families. They have preserved a pure lineage since their beginning and strive to keep that legacy and heritage going.

- Delacroix:
Family Name : Delacroix Members : Raena Delacroix Family History : The Delacroix’s are a very aristocratic and pompous breed dating back to the twelfth century; known for their pureblood idolization and their contempt and disgust towards mudbloods.
It wasn’t until the eighteenth century that the Delacroix’s really made a name for themselves. Charles-François Delacroix was a statesman who became Minister of Foreign Affairs under the Directory. Charles had four children, Henriette, Henri, Eugène and Geneviève.
Eugène was a very well-known French painter who focused on romanticism; in fact he was the most important of the French Romantic painters. He was briefly married to Annette Brennham. In the words of Baudelaire, “Delacroix was passionately in love with passion, but coldly determined to express passion as clearly as possible.” Eugène and Annette’s marriage didn’t last long, sadly, Eugène died in 1863 before their first child was born.
As time passed, the Delacroix’s split in their ways. Half of them were still desperately clinging to the ideology that they were better due to their lineage and blood status, and the others had begun to mingle. Family Connections : Brennham Are you open to connections? : Perhaps, if your plot is detailed enough and it ties in; shoot me a PM and we can discuss.
- Doholov:
Family Name: Doholov Members: Andrew, Viktoria Family History: The Doholov's have always been a family of dark magic, straight from their roots, and only the recent generation has cleared that up the slightest due to the strange upcoming of how the two children came to be.
Their patriarch is Antonin Doholov and their matriarch Fatima Behuzkov. Years before the official Fall of Voldemort in the First Wizarding War, Fatima and Antonin met on one of his missions to Russia for Voldemort to research magical items, but to no avail. Drunken he met Fatima on her Hen's Night and ruined her arranged marriage to Erik Lassenburde, as a capable witch graduate of Durmstrang, she tracked him down. They were married in secret, but he was a neglectful husband and father. He almost showed brutality to Andrey, their child. Fearful Fatima returned to her parents who agreed to raise the child in Bulgaria, but the child and herself would marry into the Lassenburdes. She took the name of Lassenburde and for her child's safety, Andrey Doholov took the name.
When Andrey was 18, he took to using his real name in Bulgaria. On a trip to England he met his future wife, Isadora, and they had Andrew and Viktoria Doholov. Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? Yes
- Ellingston:
Family Name: Ellingston Members: Codey Family History: The Ellingstons mainly comprise of very rich, and very arrogant, members. Tracing back to a time just after the defeat of Voldermort, nobody truly knows when the Ellingstons made their appearance, but they are famous for their wealth. Maintaining their family line by marrying their males to only Pureblood female, their own females were left to do as they pleased, which usually involved half-bloods. Earning their wealth through means unknown, they are extremely wealthy and well known for throwing elaborate parties for those in their neighbourhood - and whoever else wanted to attend.
Owning very large properties around the world, the lands are passed down from generation to generation. Most Ellingston members do not need to work; those that do, only do so because they want to and enjoy what they do. It is still unknown as to how their wealth is maintained, especially with the way members of the family flaunt their wealth. Family Connections: None Are you Open to connections? Tentative yes (contact first, please)
- Holmes:
Family Name: Holmes Members: Tess Holmes Family History: The origin of Holmes began with the name coming from someone who lived next to a holly tree, from the Middle English holm. It was one of the oldest pureblood families in England. Their biggest rise in power came with being in the Wizarding Round Table, bringing the ideals of Enlightenment and wanting to educate those who needed it. But they were intelligent enough to want to teach it for a price. By the eighteenth century they were a force to be reckoned with, being big in their governmental work. Many were seen a brave Aurors or intellectuals who became scholars and/or analyst within the ministry. By the time of the first war, they were seen in the community being as active as possible. They worked their way into being themselves as equals to other purebloods if not higher. They were very adamant about being very selective of their breeding. During the second wizarding war, they moved to France, they did not want to take part of the war, and the growing power within the unclean community was enough for them to seek exile. They were happy in France and their children were born in France for 300 years. Now in this century, they're slowly coming out of their small social circles and integrating themselves within a magical community in Britain once more. - MacIntyre:
Family Name: MacIntyre Members: Asher MacIntyre Family History: Clan MacIntyre is one of Scotland's oldest and most prestigious wizarding families, very little in the isle's rich history has happened with out a helping hand from the MacIntyres in one way or the other. In ancient times they served as Pagan clerics and priests uniting the warring tribes into a band of vicious warriors that served King Arthur's court. During the Imperial Age they served as placators of the people ,stopping any rebellions against Britain, and making Scotland's annexation to the U.K. a much smoother affair than that of their Irish cousins. Recently certain more zealous members of the Clan have been known to associate with the Sacre Sange in their war against the impure. For the most part however the older members are content to sit in the countryside mansions and leave the rest of the world to their own devices. Scotland is there home and deep down every member of the MacIntyre family has the nation's best interest at heart. Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? Yes
- Malfoy:
Family Name: Malfoy Members: Alcyone Malfoy, Caelum Malfoy Family History: The Malfoy family consists of an ancient line of pure-blood wizards, most of whom attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and were traditionally Sorted into Slytherin. The family first arrived in Britain with Armand Malfoy, who founded the family estate Malfoy Manor on land obtained from King William I. Though the main manor is located in Wiltshire, England, the Malfoy family is much more widespread than it used to be with many blood supremest ideals finding themselves lost in the newer generation. Connections: Black, Lestrange, Lupin, Tonks, Greengrass and Rosie Open to connections: Ask first
- Richardson:
Family Name: Richardson Members: Serafina Family History:The Richardsons are a relatively older family, dating back to a time just after Merlin was said to be alive. Rich and money-driven, the first few Richardsons made their money through stock and the buying and selling of multiple properties around Europe. To this day, quite a few castles and barren land are still owned by this family, and as such their wealth is only increasing with time.
Their wealth and status skyrocketed when, during the reign of Voldemort, one of their males married a Brennham. When the war ended and the spoils of victory and all the fame that went to those brave enough to fight him rose, they fed off that of the Brennham’s. A sly family, the Richardsons are well known for their self-preservation style of thinking, and it is always what suits them best that they follow.
Modern day family members are slightly less of a backstabbing bunch, instead capable of making proper alliances and keeping their end of the bargain. However, most Pureblood families are wary of entering into business propositions with them, with the exception of marriages - since the Richardsons have a reputation of placing family first, it is no secret that to marry into that family means a whole lot of benefits for others.
Family Connections: Brennham, through marriage. Are you Open to connections? Yes, but please PM first to discuss plot.
- Rohensen:
Family Name: Rohensen Members: Cordelia Family History: The Rohensen family is an old one, spanning from way before Voldemort’s reign. One of the rarer families that earned their money through legitimate hard work, they maintained their Pureblood views until one of their own got into an accident sometime during Voldemort’s stint of power and control and was saved by a passing muggleborn. Realising they weren’t what the Dark Lord was making them out to be, the Rohensen started an underground operation, smuggling thousands upon thousands of muggeborns to safety and protecting them. Quite a few paid for their lives, but never gave up the family or the locations of muggleborn refugees. When Voldemort was stated to pass away, they were happy to stay in the shadows, but many muggleborns brought attention to them, and they were awarded First Class Order of Merlin. They continued investing and buying properties, and very quickly became one of the richest families during the time of Harry Potter. When Voldemort rose to power yet again, the Rohensen family once more stood up for muggleborns, earning this new generation another First Class Order of Merlin. Nowadays, the Rohensen family is still delving from the conventions, declaring that Purebloods are made more so by name rather than by the blood itself - much like celebrities - and as such are sometimes shunned by those that hold the ways of old in high esteem. Of course, they still believe highly in the traditions of marriage and maintaining blood line in itself, but the females are allowed a say and are not forced into marriage until they deem themselves ready. Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? Yes, but do PM first.
- Rose:
Family Name: Rose Members: Casanna Rose, Gabriella Rose, Macen Rose Family History: The Rose's blood purity originates from the Salem Witches, their matriarch was a slave from the islands of Asia who a kind pureblood took pity on and married in secret to save from prosecution. When they boated back to her home country as it so happened, her family was of a noble tribe of magic. They moved to Germany and lived in Kielce. Their bloodline would stay of purebloods, including the Jewish pureblood Adina Rose who birthed the first Cassana Rose and Brandon Rose, when the Holocaust began Adina forced her family out of the country and into America to keep them save. They'd migrate to Boston and travel amongst the pureblood socialites where Cassana would meet Tiefal Domon, another pureblood. Tiefal's family was not of means, however, and so he took Cassana's last name. They would have one son, Macen, who would attend Tituba's Academy for Gifted Children and in trying to uncover the status of alive or dead for his great-grandmother in Germany, Macen would meet the muggleborn witch Idna Faulter. They met before the Second Wizarding War. He bought her a flight to America and they stayed in New York and had two daughters, Gabriella and Cassana; both who are half-bloods. - Silverstone:
Family Name: Silverstone Members: Arthur, Daniel (deceased), Anthea Family History: the Silverstones are a very rich and old pureblood family, going all the way back to the twelfth century and rumoured to have had connections with Salazar Slytherin himself. There have also been a few seers in their bloodline but none for a long while expect Arthur himself. As the centuries wore on the bloodline remained very pure but some of the Silverstones have become less traditional so Arthur was taught and part of pureblood traditions but the traditions weren't pushed on him. None of them were Voldemort supporters and some of them fought in the battle of Hogwarts. The Silverstones pride themselves on fairness and earning their success instead of getting it handed to them because their purebloods. Family Connections: (if any) none (I'm not sure so I'm saying none) Are you Open to connections? (Yes or No?) Yes
- Sousa:
Family Name: Sousa Members: Leandro de Sousa Family History: The Sousa family are one of the oldest known pureblood families from Portugal. In fact, it has been said that all Portuguese nobility and purebloods have at least a drop of de Sousa blood in them. Though the House of Sousa was mostly involved in politics (such as in helping create the Portuguese Empire), many of the families have branched into different fields. The Macau Sousas, for instance, own a 6-star hotel and casino chain, and they are also linked to a triad which keeps the lower criminals in line. Of course, having connections to a triad is exactly not good for pureblood image, so the Sousa family keeps this information to themselves.
Despite their more modern means of keeping their wealth and status, the Sousas are still quite traditional. Members of the family are still expected to marry into other pureblood families, and propriety (minus gambling, which is merely a bored elite's way of showing off wealth) was to be prioritised at all times. Most of the Sousas do not work—though the current Patriarch or Matriarch makes sure that all of their businesses are doing well, most of the work is done by those who have pledged service (and their lives) to the family. Some Sousas engage in respectable recreational activites, such as Quidditch or dance, but no member is allowed to pursue such activities as 'careers'.
The Sousas recently strengthened their business ties with the Fujiwara clan through marriage. The Fujiwara are a noble clan from Japan, though some members have also taken to investing in hotels and casinos. Through the Fujiwara clan, the Sousas are learning more about art and culture in Japan. Not one to miss opportunities, the current Patriarch is working with the Ministry of Magic in Japan in order to celebrate the Brazilian-Japanese international relationship. Through this move, the Sousas will become even more well-known amongst Japanese pureblood families, thus widening their connections in the Asian Wizarding World. - Sparrowhawk:
Family Name: Sparrowhawk Members: Airen Sparrowhawk Family History: The Sparrowhawk family has always been a mysterious family. They conducted themselves accordingly with the pureblood traditions when in public, but no one knew what they were like in private. Due to this fact, many rumors have spread about what goes on in the Sparrowhawk family behind closed doors. Try as one may, anyone who discovers what the family is truly like is almost always going to end up a part of that family. Do you think you can solve the mystery of the Sparrowhawk family? Family Connections: none Are you Open to connections? Yes
- Wilde:
Family Name: Wilde Members: Ariel Wilde, John Wilde Family History: The Wilde family descends a far way back into the beginning of medieval times. Their original name was le Fay. For anyone who knows their history, they would know that King Arthur's half sister was also born into this line. Morgan le Fay. The line developed further and spread out. Some married muggles, some married half-bloods, some died. Some only fell in love with purebloods, and some simply happened to fall in love with purebloods. Mary and Carl Wilde were one of those people, and they gave birth to John Wilde, Ariel Wilde's father. Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? I am!

| Family Name: Roku Members: To her knowledge and as of right now, Semira is the only known, living member of the Roku family, however, she was never well acquainted with anyone outside of her extended family, leaving open the possibility that there may be others. Family History: Long before the Battle of Hogwarts and Tom Riddle, the Roku name was known as being an old, aristocratic family dedicated to trying to cleanse the world of wrongful magic-doers, which they believed were half-bloods and muggleborns. They did so vehemently and violently, as they believed that when these witches or wizards used magic, it tainted magic as a whole, and thus affected the magic of purebloods.
In years previous, upon Tom Riddle's rebirth of sorts as Voldemort, the Roku family joined the cause very early on, becoming very reliable and loyal Death Eaters, or servants. The latest patriarch of the family, Semira's grandfather Azariel, had moved the family to Ireland before her father had even been born, and served out any orders he received from his Lord diligently and dutifully. Elion was, the eldest son of Azariel, was to be the next great patriarch of the family, but upon the Battle of Hogwarts and the end of the Second Wizarding War, her father was killed by the honorable Order of the Phoenix as he fought alongside Voldemort, defending what he thought was the right of the purebloods. Faye, Semira's mother and Roku by marriage, was captured and sentenced to spend the rest of her years in Azkaban for her wrongdoings as a Death Eater, along with the rest of the Roku family (her grandparents, any uncles/aunts), except for the two young children of Elion and Faye Roku, whom have tried to cleanse themselves of the reputation their surname brings.
Possibilities: Uncles and Aunts (Children of Azariel), Cousins, Possible children of Elion or Faye (previous relationship, affair, etc) Family Connections: N/A Are you Open to connections? Yes, upon request and permission. |
