Heels clicking against the stone hall, the sound bouncing off the walls, Teagan made her way towards her classroom. Over the weekend, she'd debated with herself back and forth on the next lesson. The main objective of the last lesson, to have them make their first rune and to gain experience with infusing it with magic, was never met. So, instead of moving on to the next lesson, she was going to give them one more shot at this vital experience. Especially since most of her students would be moving on to second year soon.

As she entered her room, she flicked her wand towards the board. The same runes, Laguz and Isa, appeared there, where they had been last lesson. She'd sent them all a memo to bring their wooden bowls back to class with them, with the carving finished. This way, they could jump right into the lesson, and then maybe more.

Setting a stack of papers on her desk, she waited for her students to join her.

Last lesson had been rather unproductive, though that was certainly not the professor's fault. No one had responded. It was that lesson Lucy realised that she had needed to do some reading. When it came to it, she had blanked. So, when she had left class last lesson, she spent a good amount of time at her desk, reading over her textbook, so she would know what to do.

She had received the memo to bring the bowl that was on her desk last lesson to the next class, so she did. It was tucked safely in her bag as she walked through the halls into class. She walked into the classroom, with her usual air of confidence "Good morning Professor," she smiled and took a seat, noting that she was the first to arrive.

Naomi was proud that she had been able to pull herself from her bed that morning, last night she'd gotten an email from her aunt Yuni about her mother. Natsuki apparently was getting into a courtship to a rather kind old man with two sons (one who was nineteen and the other who was six), and although Yuni and her fiance were not planning on having children, they were now considering it after eighteen years of marriage. It more than sort of hurt Naomi that life just moved on without her. Last night she did no reading, no studying, just curled up in a ball under the blankets and closed her eyes wishing to not exist. In the morning, she took her pills with a cup of coffee and a slice of toast before putting on jeans and flats with a sweater and sprinting to class with her backpack on her back, despite the fact that she wasn't late in anyway. She had to get away from the sadness, and throwing herself into her studies seemed a good enough way to do that. At the sight of her professor once she got into her classroom, she smiled politely and gave a nod.

With that, Naomi scurried into the middle rows, behind the other occupant of the classroom.

Daniel had forgotten about his last class, going off in to something of a day dream as the professor had spoken. He hadn't meant to, not by a long shot, but he knew he couldn't afford to slack off this lesson. After finishing his carving in to the bowl whilst still trying to juggle looking after his dragon egg and his very full schedule of social events.

It was nearing class time, and Daniel just about managed to leave "on time" to get to the lesson only a few minutes later than it was due to start. However, as he opened the door, he noted that the professor hadn't started. Oh well. "Good morning, professor!" Daniel greeted the witch, as full of life as ever before. Looking around the room, the young man slipped in to the seat beside a witch he hadn't seen before, but Merlin she was beautiful.

"Good morning, Miss..." He started, trailing off as to get the witch to finish for him. "I'm Daniel. Daniel Jameson." He introduced himself to the girl (Naomira) with a smile, settling his things on his desk. Smooth, he told himself, not caring if the professor or anyone else heard his blatantly obvious move there.
