Quirks: Refuses to call his daughter by a nickname. Would prefer to come to agreement, rather than leave something unsettled, sometimes to a fault. Absolutely hates baby talk, almost violently so.
Flaws: Keeps personal things close to the chest, now. Doesn’t know how to be everything he needs to be: student, worker, dad, son.
Strengths: Naturally athletic, but also musically inclined.
Weaknesses: Not great at memorizing facts. Never thinks he’s good enough as a dad. Doesn’t open up to others like he used to.
More Information
An easy going, and rather optimistic boy, Christian never had issues making friends. His parents provided a loving, and supportive home. His father being a wizard was never a strange thing in their home. The pair of them had decided long ago that their children would grow up loving both the Muggle and the Magical worlds alike. This general outlook on life helped lead Christian into a very happy and open-hearted view of the world.
At Hogwarts, he was sorted into Hufflepuff. While some looked down on the house of the badger, Christian only saw his closest friends and confidants. Among a few best mates, he also became close with a blue-eyed Ravenclaw, Alysha. Partners for a third year Charms project, anyone could see that they were meant to be. The rest was history, as they continued as a couple through the rest of their time at Hogwarts.
Planning to attend MAE the year after graduation, they received the news that Alysha was pregnant. Sure, they’d planned to spend the rest of their lives together, but the news was met with mixed emotions. With the determination to meet any obstacle together and head-on, the young couple decided to keep the baby. They had support from both of their parents, who respected their choice to take on their responsibilities. Both of them set aside their plans, vowing to return to school when the baby was older, but wanting to focus on their growing family. At one point, Christian brought up the topic of marriage, but Alysha didn’t want it to be based on the baby. She wanted his proposal to be about them, and their choice.
On the day of the delivery, which should have been full of joy and family, things took a turn for the worse. One moment they were a perfect, happy family. The next, they were down to two. Christian doesn’t talk about what happened that day, but as one life began, another ended.
Now, two years later, life has settled a bit. Christian lives in a small flat, right under his parents. It’s enough space to try to be a dad, but allows him the support he very much needs. He’s put it off until now, but with late enrollment, he’s decided to take MAE up on their offer of attendance. Deciding on Auror, what he’d originally planned to do, he’s not quite sure how this is all going to work out. With a part-time job at a music store, he knows he’ll need something more to give Amelia everything that she deserves. Even if it’s a bit dangerous.
