The Sparrowhawk family was a well-known pureblood family before mysteriously disappearing seventeen years ago. They were never heard from until Airen entered Hogwarts. No one knows why they vanished. All they do know is that Airen is the only heir to the Sparrowhawk bloodline. What people do not know is that the Sparrowhawk's lived in the muggle world as Airen grew up, as a result, Airen is a pureblood, but he knows and somewhat prefers the muggle culture. His family converted to Christianity during this time as well.

Airen is a kind soul. Often helping others with small tasks, while anonymously helping those truly in need. He may end up butting heads with the more obvious purebloods, but he tries to keep a level head and will not instigate anything. He likes to walk aimlessly in secluded places, but doesn't pass up chances to interact with people. When people praise him for his work, he gets self-conscious and thinks they're just being polite. So he can be a little doubtful of this own skills.

Airen has never been the best with girls. He's liked plenty, but always feel like they could do better than him. He'll more than likely end up the good friend who is always there for you, but you never see as more than a friend. If a relationship is to build, the girl would have to make the first move. He may get a little more confident over time, but it'll take time.

From year one, Airen has always been an enigma to people. Having always gone with letting his actions speak for themselves, people hardly know what his voice sounds like. They knew that he was a Sparrowhawk, so muggleborns and halfbloods tended to avoid him for fear of being looked down upon by another pureblood. Soon they came to realize that he was different, kinder. Purebloods don't know much about him, but are constantly trying to find out, maybe getting a little too nosey in the process. Either way, when he enters Merlin's Academy, Airen will turn quite a few heads.

Airen mostly kept to himself at Hogwarts. He was polite and kind to people, but he could never seem to find a solid friend. He wound up accepting it, but he still longs for a close friendship with a group of people. He was a good student and made outstanding grades, but he tried to avoid the spotlight whenever possible. He took to drawing during his first year and became pretty good at it, drawing up fictional characters he'd create. Airen was a Gryffindor to an extent. He was brave when doing something for others, but when he'd be faced with something for personal gain, he'd more often than not choose not to participate.

Airen also developed a rare gift: the ability to produce and manipulate blue fire. He only developed this during the summer after his seventh year, so he doesn't have full control over it. This led to him wearing a glove on his right hand, as when the power is active, a strange tribal eagle tattoo on the back of said hand will glow. His family did find some older tomes that teach mastery of this power, but Airen's only just beginning to learn. He still doesn't know how he got the tattoo.

Airen developed a passion for swordplay in his early years, so he is now an adept sword fighter. He owns a sword that has two blades which have angled tips that align to each other. He won't carry it around campus, so it mostly stay in his dorm until he finds a place to practice.
