| Clarinda stepped into the familiar classroom, taking in the sight and smell with a gentle smile on her face. It had been so many years ago that she was last here, and yet it still felt like just yesterday that she sat behind the desk, eager to start learning. It was also here that she developed a passion for Spell Damage, a desire to help those who had been on the receiving end of a misplaced spell, be it intentional or not.
Glancing around, she made her way to the front of the class. She couldn’t help but feel a tad nervous, imitating the way she felt on her first day there. The only difference was that this time, she was going to be standing at the front of that class, and not in the first row.
She was the Professor.
Shaking her head slightly - she never once imagined she’d be in this position, and definitely not as a first year Healer in-training - Clarinda smiled fondly to herself as she slipped out her wand and gave it a flick. Her name appeared on the board, immediately followed by the words, “Basic Spell Knowledge”, and, satisfied, Clarinda moved to sit behind the desk, mug of coffee within her reach and wand loosely in her hand as she waited for the students to arrive.

| Brandon made his way to class, taking a few wrong turns before finding the right staircase and hallway. He was elated and couldn't wait for classes to begin. He might be a little older than other first years, but that didn't diminish his determination to achieve his goal. In fact, it fueled his desire even more. It wouldn't be easy juggling work and studies at the same time but Brandon was sure he could handle both.
As he walked, it took him a moment to realised he'd completely walked passed the classroom. Doubling back with a slight blush on his face, he entered the class and saw that he was the first to arrive. He hadn't expected that, since he lost his way a couple of times, but the knowledge that he was still early made a grin bloom on his face and a twinkle brighten his eye.
"Greetings, Professor," he said cheerfully. "Wonderful day, today! I'm Brandon." He gave a little theatrical bow before offering his hand for a shake.
He made his way to the middle of the third row and took a seat, turning his eyes on the board. What he saw written there was not unexpected. It was the first class and basics were required. |

| Ceyal entered the classroom, surprised to see so few students had turned up. He couldn't have been early because according to his watch, class was going to start soon. Shrugging mentally, he nodded to the professor and took a seat in the far back of the classroom. She was new, he noted, and he wondered if she was any good at teaching. He'd had some professors back in his Hogwarts days that were good at what they did professionally but could have used a vast improvement when it came to teaching.
After he settled himself, he popped a piece of gum into his mouth and began to chew quietly, his eyes taking in the words on the board. Basic spell knowledge. This was to be his third year at the academy and he'd expected to learn something more challenging. Still, it couldn't hurt to have the first class of the year be a review of what he'd done in the past two years. Considering that some of the other students were first years, it made some sense. |

| She was doing it. Amber was actually, genuinely, attending University - and a Hearing one at that - on her own, studying to become a Healer. It was something she had once only dreamt of doing, but now was actually fulfilling, and it made her more than excited.
Stepping into the class, she looked around and made her way to the front of the room with a piece of paper that she had written previously, and placed it on the table. "Hi," it read. "My name is Amber. I'm Deaf. I do not expect special attention or favors; however, I will not be able to hear you or respond to you verbally. Please do not think I am ignoring you or disobeying any orders. You can ask me questions or give me instructions by writing. "
The Professor glanced at it, eyes scanning the page, and then smiled at her. Amber caught a brief motion - the witch had flicked her wand - and, on the empty space below the paper, the words, "Hello Amber. I'm Professor Keller. Thank you for letting me know. I will be sure to keep that in mind. It is very nice to have you in my class, and I wish you all the best in becoming a Healer," appeared.
The smile on her face only grew wider, and she nodded. Very carefully, she mouthed the words "Thank you," as she had learnt to do, and turned, making her way back to a seat right in front. This was definitely going to go well, she was sure of it.[[OOC: Clarinda is also my character, so no GM was involved. (:]] |
