More Information
Nobody quite knows for certain where Cordelai came from, nor what her lineage is. Found abandoned on the wizarding streets of the UK, she was barely a few days old. Starved and close to death’s doors, she nevertheless managed a gently cry when picked up, and was taken to what she would later call home by two very worried servants. The servants had not expected the response from their bosses, though; instead of allowing the pair to raise the child, the couple instead adopted her, giving her the name Cordelai in the process.
The baby had no clue, however, that she had just been adopted by a Pureblood family.
Cordelai grew up with vastly different looks than her parents and siblings, and her origins were no big secret; she had been raised not on lies, but the absolute truth, although put much more simpler for her comprehension. As she grew older, she was raised on the norms and social etiquette of a Pureblood female, and although she still knows them all like the back of her hand, she sometimes chooses to ‘forget’ these practises.
Attending Hogwarts and sorted into Gryffindor, she enjoyed her time there immensely, making many friends and excelling at all her classes.
Since the Rohensen family had never really been one to follow all the norms, when Cordelai announced she had no intention of marrying any time soon and was instead going to University to study dragon training, there were no objections from either parents, except for a voicing of concern for safety. After all, what with the recent news of what had happened circulating, it was no light matter. But, she was firm in her position, and with their full blessing, she started off for University.
