Likes: Pumpkin pie and cinnamon topped hot chocolate. Rainy days and the smell of camp fires from her childhood. Muggle literature and cars, though she does enjoy flying as well
Dislikes:Dogs and spiders. Tornadoes and being alone in the dark. High heels and perfume
Quirks: Not a fan of silence, she generally has her wand set to emit whatever kind of music she's in the mood for at the time. An avid reader, she rather enjoys folding over favorite pages, or making little notes here and there; her text books are no different
Flaws: She's rather clumsy, especially so when excited. While she's not afraid to talk to others, strangers even, she's not known for being the most socially adept
Strengths: Very detail oriented and organized when it matters. Tends to find the good in most people, even if they're not able to see it themselves
Weaknesses: If it doesn't matter, she can be a bit of a slob; don't visit her dorm without notice. She's trusted too quickly quite a few times in life, and doesn't really seem to learn her lesson



Daughter of Rowan and Kendra, Aurelia grew up in a rather tame environment compared to other young witches. Most of her childhood was spent among Muggles, as she attended regular school before her acceptance to Salem Witches' Institute. Her parents raised her to respect all kinds of people. So, when she attended Salem, it was a bit hard for her to deal with the inter-house rivalries and blood prejudices that are present in all schools of that age. Sorted into pleasant enough house, though, she'd been thankful for the large group of friendly housemates.

While Aurelia made friends easily throughout school, she was still a bit of an odd ball. Rather clumsy, she found herself in the hospital wing a bit more than the average student, and made friends with the staff there. Eventually, she learned enough magic to not have to visit quite so often, and found that she rather enjoyed the ability to do so. When she talked to her parents about doing something with helping others, her parents were thrilled. They only wanted her to be happy.

And she was! Until her first semester at Merlin's Academy. It took only one trip to the less understood wings of St. Mungo's, on a class trip, to turn her stomach against the idea entirely. She watched the Medi-witches, stoic and focused, steady focus and determination, with another's life in their hands. No, she couldn't bare the idea that she couldn't save someone. The rest of that year didn't go so well, as she struggled to decide whether to switch majors or just drop all together.

It wasn't until a rather interesting class with Prof. Holmes, a particularly difficult one, that she had a spark of hope. This, she could do. Yes, it took determination, focus, will, but if she messed up, it wouldn't kill someone. With a relaxing breath, she submitted the forms to switch into Potioneering for her next year.
