Cassana ran her hands through her hair as she woke up on the guest room bed - well technically her room - within her and Devin’s apartment. She preferred staying in this bed whenever she stayed over. Brooke was spending time with Joe - understandably so too. She yawned and stretched out, casually. She felt good, well-rested and calm. As she started to come to her senses completely, she laid on her back and tried to think of what to do. Devin was out, doing whatever it was Devin did (probably studying) whenever he wasn’t at the apartment, and she didn’t feel like bothering him so she never did. As her brain started to run over the possibilities of what to do, she started to let her eyes droop figuring that she didn’t have anything too stressing…

Wait what day is it again? Her brain prodded. So she groaned and forced her eyes open to check on her phone the date and time. She didn’t feel anything out of the usual was supposed to -

Wait a minute.

Cassie shot out of her bed, holding her phone before her eyes bulged comically. Awh frick, frick, frick, she thought hurriedly a she quickly hobbled around the room searching for her clothes. Today was the day Parker came back home and she was to pick him up and take him to the “Big Surprise”. A surprise party for Parker! She was excited to do so, and happiness flooded her system at the idea of seeing one of her closest friends again after so long. As quick as she could she pulled on her tights and pulled the black dress over her head. As she was half-way out of her bedroom with her bright blue leather jacket on and ready to apparate her out she winced when she remembered that shoes were a necessity. She pulled on the first pair she could find, black boots, and tied her hair back before apparating out of her quiet apartment with a smile on her face. When she arrived at the apparition point near the airport she couldn’t help the burst of glee that filled her as she started to bolt towards the apartment that was fifteen minutes walking away. Yet she still winced when she realized that Parker’s flight had landed by the time she arrived at the airport. But that didn’t stop her from bolting and pushing through the crowd until she recognized a brunet meandering through the crowds.

“Parker!” She screamed exubriantly with a wide grin on her face as she ran towards him. She was ready to throw her arms around him when she realized she might just tackle him to the ground and instead stopped about a foot from him and opened her arms wide. “I missed you! Are you sure you’re Parker Emery? The Parker I knew wasn’t so tan,” she teased.

While waiting around, Parker found himself wondering if things would be the same between him and his friends. Or rather, if things had changed because they'd all been so busy and moving along with their lives. He hoped that it wouldn't be too difficult to get back into the flow of regular life at Merlin's, especially with how good he was feeling the past few months.

But all those thoughts melted away when finally reunited with Cassie, it was as if no time had passed at all. As they pulled away from the hug, Parker felt words catch in his throat. Seeing (and feeling) Cassie get all emotional stuck a chord with him. He tried to duck his head low in an attempt to hide his own teary eyes as she commented about how much healthier he seemed. "I really can't wait to tell you and the others all about it," he said as evenly as possible. "It was amazing."

Parker happily walked along with her as she led him through the crowds to wait out front for the next available cab. When she started asking questions about where exactly it was he'd gone, he laughed. "I'd say you were close, but not at all. It was Tahiti, and Merlin was it beautiful."
