Nathan's parents were odd. Viktor, Nathan's father, was a vampire, while his mother was a half-blooded wizard and a half-blooded vampire. They found each other through the coven they shared and it became love at first sight. They were pregnant numerous times, giving birth to a set of fraternal twins first followed by four other, single babies. They weren't surprised by the fact that their children were wizards,or half-vamps, in fact, it was reassuring to them.
Their children grew up as normal as possible and they all, at the age of 11, attended the wizarding school, Hogwarts. After Nathan was sent off to Hogwarts, the coven was breached by a group of hunters who killed Viktor and Mindy, due to the coven's need for fresh blood. Hearing of his parents murder, Nathan was devastated, but vowed to never become part of a coven again. He grew away from his siblings and started a new life for himself, one that would be as normal as possible.
In Nathan's fourth year at Hogwarts, he met a girl named Evangeline, and boy, did she rock his world. They became inseparable and eventually began dating. They stuck by each other's side through all the school drama and through all the situations they went through. They grew closer in their relationship and after graduating Hogwarts, they got married.
Within their first year of marriage, they found out they were expecting a baby girl. After months or discussing names, they'd finally decided on Mirabelle Eliza Kovak. In October 2014, Evangeline went into labor, however, the news was not great. Her choices were to either go into an emergency c-section and deliver the baby while she lost her life, or she could have them abort the baby and live to undergo the procedure she needed. Leaving her husband behind with a kiss and an exchange of three words, she left to deliver the baby.
After his wife's passing, he went into a state of shock and depression. It was hard for him to care for his princessa but he did it. After her mother died, he changed the name from Mirabelle Eliza, to Evelyn Joy. He wanted her to be named after her mother as well as the emotion she felt throughout her daughter's formation of life. Recently, he celebrated his daughters first birthday. He still fights with the depression of being a widower, but it's only been a year and some days are harder than others. Eva looks just like her mother, and he couldn't be more proud to raise her.
