So this is an idea I got from a previous site I was on, but it's pretty simple! Just post songs (and lyrics, if you want) that you associate with your characters! Whether the whole song perfectly describes them / their situation or it' just a verse that kinda makes you think of them, I think it's a great chance to get a better feel for each others characters and find new music while we're at it!!

For example:

I've recently been listening to Cool Kids by Echosmith and can't help but think of Parker. All throughout his life he never really fit in, dealt with bullying and ostracization, and has always been concerned about who he is - even up till now it's something he struggles with. He's not sure if he'll ever feel like he belongs somewhere.

Literally one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to do so narrow it down. But I think that for now, and for her at this moment I think this song might encompass her.

Song: Carry On - Fun.

Reason: The reason I chose this song for Tess because she struggles to realize that perfect isn't possible, and it's okay to keep going. So slowly she's trying to keep carrying on in life. Learning to let things go and learning to just be her imperfect self, and accept that. Then slowly empower herself. (/rant over).

I've been thinking about this and trying to find a song for a while, and I realized that because Nova is somewhat similar to me then the music I can relate to probably applied to her as well.

Doubt by Twenty One Pilots doesn't have much variation in it, but neither does Nova's current life.  She fears that her weaknesses will last forever and that people will hate her for it, but she knows that without people she is nothing.  While a lot of the time she isolates herself and tends to jump to negative conclusions, she doesn't want to be forgotten

I've been thinking lately on who exatly Mac is, her personality, her heart and her feelings. This, was definitely, a very hard challenge.


Human by Christina Perri was the only song that I've heard that relates to Mackenzie the most. She's trying to be this perfect girl, something society approves of, but slowly, she's beginning to crumble. She's in the middle of a breakup, she's just found out she's having a new sibling and feels replaced and she's trying so hard to be what everyone wants her to be, but she's only human.
