Mackenzie is the first on her mother's side of the family, to not be a pureblood, because of this, Mac will never get to meet any of her mother's family, as they disowned her. The Valentine side of the family was huge into arranged marriages and Aimee blew it. She ran off and got together who Dylan, who was a Muggleborn.
Due to her mother being the Care of Magical Creatures professor at Hogwarts and her father working for the Department of Magical Creature Regulations, she was actually born at Hogwarts. Mackenzie grew up in the wizarding world, just like her mother had. Aimee and Dylan provided for her and spoiled her, but not to the rotten point. They taught her the importance of sharing and caring and loving one another. Due to her parents jobs, she grew up around creatures of all kinds and some of the dangerous ones became her best friends.
When Mac was 11, she started school and was sorted into Hufflepuff, her father's old house. She made numerous friends and stayed away from boys. Mac had a good head on her shoulders. She is an only child, and she likes it that way. She constantly thanked her mother for breaking the pureblood line because now, she could fall in love with someone because she loved them and not because she was forced to marry them.
Mac graduated top of her class and made her parents proud. She got perfect grades on her OWLs and NEWTs and she got accepted into one of the most highly honoured wizarding universities, Merlin's Academy for Excellence. Without looking back, she packed her bags and left the arms of her parents, hoping to achieve so much more than they.
