Hugh grew up as an army brat. His Muggle father was in the UK military so he mostly lived with his mother as they traveled around the UK. Hugh discovered he was a Wizard at a young age. His mother already knew this because she was a Witch but she was trying to keep it a secret from her husband. When Hugh was accepted to Hogwarts his mother told her father it was a military school so he wouldn't question it. At Hogwarts he meet his best friend and future husband Evan Wilson. They were both Ravenclaws and shared many things in common. After Hugh graduated from Hogwarts he went to Merlin's Academy and studied to be a healer. He graduated and became a healer at St. Mungos. Hugh soon got bored of his job and became the Dean of Healing at Merlin's Academy.
