| "No need to apologise, Master Williams. It wasn't your fault,"
Smiling back, he saw the confusion in Alcy's eyes turn to recognition as she took in his appearance. Humphrey was all too aware that his dirty blonde, slightly messy (it was combed a little more than usual for the ball) hair marked him out quite clearly. If that hadn't done the trick though, his addressing her certainly would have as she knew his voice. He simply shrugged at her comment of no need to apologise. "Not my fault perhaps, but somebody should apologise for the rude behavior. Merlin knows she certainly won't so...I took initiative." he told her with a wink. Some of the tension he'd been starting to feel at the crowd and the uncomfortable situation drained away from him, if Alcyone was here with him he knew things would be okay. She was talkative enough that he might be able to let her take the lead when it came to keeping up conversation with other people.
When Alcy took his arm Humphrey couldn't stop from beaming widely, well aware that all the males in the room were probably jealous of his position right now. It wasn't every day you had the opportunity to escort a beautiful lady in Masquerade Ball attire, and he was going to enjoy every moment of it. "Splendid. You look radiant tonight Alcyone, hope you don't mind my saying so." he complimented, saying the first word that popped into his head. The boy could tell she was in her element, lots of opportunity for making friends combined with high fashion was right up her alley.
Weaving his way back through the crowd, he soon found the table Brooke was waiting for him at. He pulled out the spare chair for Alcy before taking a seat in his own. Without missing a beat though, he made sure to introduce the two ladies. "Sorry about the delay, I had punch spilled on me and it took a moment to work things out. Brooke, meet my friend Alcyone. Alcyone, this is my friend Brooke. The one I met at the bookshop that I mentioned to you the other day." he explained. Humphrey hoped that Brooke wouldn't mind him bringing somebody else to their table without so much as a heads up. She seemed like a pretty laid back person so he suspected no, but sometimes it was hard to tell when it came to girls. Like the encounter with that girl by the punch, he couldn't always tell what they were like. Certainly more complex than I am, that's for sure. |

Michelle smiled. "Oh I remember a day when I was first year student here in this school," she said there now with a weak smile. It was good to be here back. "I was healer for few years but since I like to teach others then I decided to become professor here. Not sure how long time I'll do this job," she said honestly there now. She really can't tell how long she is doing something ever. Sometimes she willl change her mind too.
She had taken herself one glass of wine too. Red one. Even if she isn't really person who would drink it but she didn't wanna be the most soberest one here too. She hates to take responsibility about events and so on. It's too difficult for her. She just hoped that she will do well in her lessons. |

| Alcyone let a soft giggle breathe past her lips at his words, glancing back towards the crowd that had quite literally eaten up the duo who hadn't both consented to being dragged off onto the dance floor. Oh well. She let her fingers grasp onto one of the ruffles by her midriff as she smiled up at Humphrey, grateful for his presence now at the very least. She'd been searching for Caelum and Jaycie, but he seemed to be just as good of a catch as locating either of those two were. Maybe they're off making out because Caelum finally made a move, she thought to herself, amusement twinkling in her eyes. "Bah, forget her, Humph," the nickname rolled off her tongue without any conscious thought on her behalf, and she paid it no mind. "She's one of those freshmen who think they're a big kid now and can do what they please,"
A grateful smile was offered to him, glad that he wasn't like that. He seemed to be the opposite - a lot more meek and sweet hearted than the vicious brunette had been. It wasn't as if she promoted being awkward in social situations, or found it endearing, she simply preferred those who didn't walk around with their heads so big it was a struggle to fit through the doorway - and that girl had certainly seemed the type. Though, she couldn't help but consider herself a little hypocritical at the same time - she did, after all, have issues with vanity. But she didn't consider herself the type to do something like that... Did she? Alcyone wasn't overly interested in romance most of the time, so possibly not. But maybe if she liked someone? Alcyone was wrapped up in his thoughts and didn't notice the way that Humphrey beamed when she took his arm, though she did snap back to attention when he complimented her.
It was no secret that the brunette loved to be told that she was beautiful, or of any adjective similar to this. But there was something different about the way that her smile broadened and her eyes lit up, her heart fluttering in her chest as he called her radiant. That was a very pleasant adjective, and to come from him, too? Her eyes roved over his appearance again, fondness in her gaze as she looked back up into his. "No," she replied, grinning. "I don't mind you saying at all. You look very handsome yourself." She felt quite light and airy as she let him lead them towards his table, taking the seat that he pulled out for her with a soft murmur of 'thanks' as she settled herself down and turned her attention to a redhead known as Brooke. She was gorgeous, with vivid locks that burned in comparison to the pale of her skin - and the peacock dress! How clever! Alcyone liked her immediately. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Brooke." |

| Allendra looked back at the man's hand she had grasped and it looked like a ghost. He hinted that he didn't like the idea of going out into a crowd so she decided to head to the other side of the dancefloor (there were less people) where they could be more private. He started asking questions along the way and she shook her head. Before she headed to the other side of the ballroom, she looked back at the woman she had left and Humphrey who she ditched. A small smirk played on her lips but she could care less. The woman was becoming out of eyesight and Allendra could only catch movements of her mouth. Oh well! Allendra thought to herself.
Finally, when they were on the other side of the room, Allendra turned to the man she whisked away. He almost looked ill. Allendra's face contorted. "Don't look so scared. I'm not going to kill you." Yet. Allendra spoke and added an afterthought. Her hand in his she gently placed it on her waist. She grasped his other hand and held it while she placed her other hand on his shoulder. "Would you be so kind and dance with me, sir?" Allendra asked, she had already set them up but this was his last chance to say now.
Allendra was not going to dance with someone who looked like they were about to vomit at the sight of her. Well, they can't see her because of her mask but the idea still applies. They stood still while Allendra awaited on the handsome man's response. |

| Melody tried to think of something to say to that. She swirled the wine in the glass just for something to do. The small swirls on her dress moved as the light reflected off the glass. It might have looked beautiful as far as she knew but didn't help.
She couldn't help but think that Michelle sounded a bit... sad, uncertain? It probably wouldn't be best to bring that up though, she had no clue how the woman might react to a comment like that. Besides it would be rather rude. "Hmm, its good to keep your options open. I might have gone with Healing if I hadn't chosen Potioneering." Melody gave what she hoped was a warm smile. Then she drank the rest of her glass and tried not to spit out the wine. |

| For Thana, or Tris as she was known, it was her first time being at her new school, she had literally started the day before and wasn't even unpacked yet as she didn't have her dorm. However her parents had convinced her to go, if not to make new friends but to meet up with old ones. So albeit nervously she went, walking down the staircase in her black gown and ball flats. Everyone that knew her knew she hated heels and as a result went for comfort, she had her hair in an elegant hairstyle and her makeup was kept simple. She knew she looked okay in black so went with that, walking down and not spotting anyone she knew. It was a masquerade ball after all, but she would of liked to at least recognize someone . Plus she wanted to know who her professors would be, and her classmates.
Walking to the drink area Tris quickly got herself one before continuing to look around her, her scars tonight visible. The start of the one on her back and her newest one, an almost perfect line from her right collarbone to down her neck. Both she hadn't bothered covering, as they were a part of her. Both scars an unusual silvery and blue colour. She still couldn't see anyone she knew yet , instead she sipped on her drink. Quietly looking around to see if she could find someone she could at least talk to. Finally someone caught her eye, an old friend Brooke Walters. Silently she raised her glass to her, and nodded. Her grey eyes meeting with her friends, they had been friends for years. Brooke was her first friend at Hogwarts. They had kept in contact when she had transferred but hadn't seen in each other in almost a year as life had gotten in the way. Her friends flaming red hair made her very noticeable and Tris waited for a response.

| ((OOC: Sorry sorry sorry! Brooke muse has been so low lately. But now Joe is here hopefully it'll return. xD))
Listening to him talk, she nodded. "They are beautiful creatures. You must really be smart around them though, because I've heard they can be smart, even though they don't look it," she commented, remembering what her dad had told her.
"It is!" she agreed at once, smiling. "It's so much nicer than the ball they had at Hogwarts this one time, although I suppose a University standard is higher." With a chuckle, she glanced around again, taking in the fanciness of it all. "I'm so glad I got that acceptance letter," she added a moment later, almost as a thought. "I honestly thought I'd only get into those that you yourself apply to, not one of these!"
As the boy excused himself, she smiled. "No problem, see you in a bit!" she told him, not one considering that he could actually just be looking for a reason to leave - she never really thought the worst of anyone, instead doing the opposite. Slowly nibbling on the different food, she looked around at the different people, smiling to herself. So many new people to meet, so many friendships to add to her list; it was going to be an awesome experience to be able to attend Merlin's Academy, that was for sure.
Already beginning to day dream about the course she was taking - and how amazing it would be to be able to say she was an Auror in training - she grinned to herself. Joe was studying to be a Healer, and honestly, the job suited her boyfriend. Kind, soft spoken, gentle... He had all the traits required and more for the job - and, she had joked with him, when her clumsiness got her hurt, he would be able to fix her up without a trip to the hospital. Or the other way around, she had added to him, and she sat the table, alone, grinning to herself at the memory.
A noise brought her back and she blinked as she saw someone else sitting down. Before she could introduce herself, however, Humphrey had done it for her, and she laughed at the tale. "It sounds like something I would do, only it would be nobody's fault but mine!' she laughed, before turning her eyes back to the new witch at the table.
Reaching out with a hand, she smiled. "It's nice to meet you too, Alcy! Oh, may I call you that? Or would you prefer Alcyone?" she asked, suddenly remembering that not everyone appreciated nick names. "Sorry, bad habit of mine, shortening names," she added with a slight chuckle. She really needed to stop doing that before she offended someone.
Quite suddenly, Brooke felt a pair of eyes training her, and she looked up, wondering if she were right or not. Catching the eye of someone, her mouth fell open - there was no mistaking the witch raising her glass to Brooke. "Oh my Merlin," she gasped, standing up suddenly. "Tris! Get over here!" she called out in disbelief, her voice carrying over the sea of people. Stepping out from the table, she took a few steps towards the other witch and pulled her into a hug. "Merlin, this is amazing. How have you been?!"
Leading her to the table, she motion for the girl to sit and then looked at Humphrey and Alcyone with an apologetic smile. "An old friend of mine from my Hogwarts days. I haven't seen her in over a year! Tris, this is Humphrey and Alcyone. Guys, this is Tris."
Looking her friend over, she grinned. "You look absolutely amazing! Seriously, I can't even believe this... How have you been?! Wait, sorry, I just asked that. I mean, wow. I can't believe you're here! What are you studying?" |

| Michelle looked at girl and did wonder what to say too there. She did take few zips from her wine too there. She really wasn't that good at that small talk most of times but there was times when it came easily.
She might be sad a little bit. Her life is good but there is few things what she misses and wishes to happen already. She didn't really wanna talk about her life right now. She liked to be healer but there were few things what she didn't like about that job. She isn't sure how well she will do as teacher but soon she will know.
"Yeah it's good idea. I did learn healing but there was always possibility to come Auror or then Potioneer," she said there with a small smile now. "But I liked being healer more than these two," she added then with a small smile again. |

| Oh my Merlin, Tris! Get over here!
Thana looked at Brooke and smiled, almost everyone called her Tris and she couldn't really remember why. It had just happened, smiling and embracing her friend Thana laughed at her excitement. She was about to answer her friends question when she was dragged over to a table and introduced to Brooke's friends. She nodded politely to them, "Hello." she told them, before raising an eyebrow at her friend.
"Thanks Brooke, so do you!" Thana told her, smiling and laughing softly. " Hey can someone tell me who I am sharing a room with by chance?" Thana asked, showing a piece of paper to her friend with room numbers and floors on it. " I am studying Curse Breaking." she said happily, taking a sip of her champagne. Thana rarely drank and didn't like all the fancy drinks, she would rather have a Vodka or Spirits over Champagne or Wine. Thana looked at her friend and gently tucked a stray piece of hair behind her friends head. "Still up to your old tricks?" Thana asked kindly, before looking back at the group so as not to be rude.
Thana hoped she had gotten a room with someone nice, and if it was someone she knew she might be able to have half a chance of being normal. To be honest she wasn't sure why she had even said yes to the Academy as it meant at least five more years of work. But it would give her more time to figure out what she wanted, and had been given the chance by the Academy to choose either Healing or Curse-Breaking. Her Alchemy and her Runes had been her best N.E.W.T scores, and as a result had been offered a place at Merlins Academy. Her adoptive parents had been over the moon when she showed them the letter and had told her to think it over. She had and had written back to the Academy with her desired course choice. Curse-Breaking. To decide what to do she had been to visit her real parents graves, and had talked with them. She didn't know if they could hear her from wherever they were, but it gave her comfort at least. Bringing back to the present Thana looked at Brooke again, "What are you doing, wait let me guess. Auror?" she asked, before looking around again. She really wanted to be out on the dance floor. "Excuse me Brooke, I'll be back a bit later. " Thana said to her friend, the idea of dancing seeming much better then talking to a group.

| Caelum's smile morphed into his trademark goofy grin, and she found herself beaming along with him. Jaycie had always found Caelum to be a pleasant person, and because she'd known the Malfoys for so long he and his sister had become the remaining two in the top three people she trusted. He was looking rather dashing tonight, in his tailored suit and elaborate mask, and perfectly groomed hair. Jaycie had to almost crane her neck to speak to him, he towered what seemed miles above her. She'd always found his size somewhat reassuring, like a protective shield.
A blush crept its way onto her cheeks when he complimented her. She ducked her head momentarily before replying with a murmured "Thank you," and a flicker of a smile. It took a lot of effort to ignore the jumping pace her heart had slid into. "Your mask is interesting," she said, reaching up to point at it. Jaycie thought it looked quite Aztec.
The spellbinding world of the ballroom caught her eye again, and Jaycie scanned the crowd. It had only just occurred to her that Alcy would not miss a glamorous party like this, and now Jay was wondering where her best friend had disappeared to. "Have you seen Alcy?"

| "It sounds like something I would do, only it would be nobody's fault but mine!"
Humphrey couldn't help but laugh, she made it sound like she was clumsy quite often. Although, he had only met her once before so maybe she was. Usually he had pretty good reflexes, though like everyone he did have his moments. When those happened he blamed it on the blond in his hair. "Yeah, we all have our epic fail times now and again. The girl was at least nice enough to clean it up with a quick tergeo, though, so I can't complain." he admitted with a shrug. Not much bothered him, he'd learned to roll with whatever happened. Besides, he was at a ball with some pretty cool girls he could call friends. All in all, life was treating him well right now. He relaxed, leaning back in his chair and stretching a little.
"An old friend of mine from my Hogwarts days. I haven't seen her in over a year! Tris, this is Humphrey and Alcyone. Guys, this is Tris."
Brooke saw somebody she knew and before Humphrey knew what was happening the redhead was dragging her over to meet them all. It was a little funny at how quickly it all happened, and he couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Easy, Brooke. Don't hurt her arm dragging her over to meet us. A pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm Humphrey Williams, a Dragon Trainer In Training." he said, bowing his head slightly in a nod before taking another sip from his punch cup. There was champagne, but for tonight he wanted a clear head. It was already challenging enough for him in social situations, alcohol may relax him but it also ran the risk of his filters going away. Humphrey knew he was an odd enough person that if that happened, well...let's just say things would get interesting and leave it at that. The young man didn't need to drink to enjoy himself, so he refrained most of the time.

| Arthur's eyes surveyed the room. It was impressive, how the hall had gotten decorated for the ball. It didn't quite blow him away but it was beautiful as were the gowns. He loved masquerades, there were often such interesting outfits and he enjoyed the anonymity that his own mask provided him.
Arthur was dressed in a black tux with a bright red bowtie and a mask that covered half of his face. It was a black mask with yellow stripes on its sides. He hadn't realized that it was in the Hufflepuff colours until he put it on. Really, he had just really liked the mask when he had found it despite the fact that it had originally had very tacky feathers on it that he had magicked off after buying it. Still it felt fitting that he should wear his house colours now.
With silk white gloves on and his usually messy dirty blonde hair slicked back he entered the hall and went going over to the punch bowl. Nearly everyone seemed to be already talking to someone and no one seemed ready to dance yet although there was one couple at the middle of the dance floor but they didn't look like they were going to dance. Still more people might be coming soon and Arthur was content to pour himself some punch and find a place to sit.

| (OOC: This is so bad I'm sorry Molls!! x_x; )
Weaving through and among the groups of people that had already gathered, Parker let his eyes wander as he took it all in. Considering where he grew up and where he’s been living with his grandmother the past couple years, he couldn’t help but be in absolute awe of what surrounded him currently. It was almost like the shock of attending Hogwarts his first year, only he hoped it wouldn’t be nearly as difficult to adjust.
Feeling a bit lightheaded and out of sorts, he figured he should find a place to sit. Maybe get a glass of water. He didn’t really put in much thought or concern into why he suddenly started feeling so unwell, it was just something that happened sometimes during the school year. Maybe it was nerves?
Parker still wasn’t paying much attention to the people around him, more focused on finding an uncrowded space to sit down. He really didn’t want a repeat of those embarrassing fainting spells he had during his first year at Hogwarts. All Parker had wanted was a fresh, clean start… not this!
He tugged on the collar of his shirt just as a woman stumbled right into him. As dazed as he was, Parker was able to keep his footing by grabbing onto her shoulder just as she had grabbed onto him. He tried mumbling an apology but it likely went unheard because she was turned to snap at whoever had pushed her. Her tone and her attire told Parker she was definitely a Slytherin, and he instinctively felt himself tense up despite her expression softening when she turned back to him.
“Er… sorry about that. I should’ve been more careful-” he started, interrupting himself to motion towards her mask. “Oh - your mask, it’s crooked.” |

| Leaving her friend rather abruptly, Thana walked back over to the drinks area and disposed of her glass. She really didn't like the Champagne and instead choose some of the punch. Looking around she saw that no one was ready to dance yet and that bothered her. It was a masquerade ball after all, you were supposed to dance! Silently she looked out over the floor and listened to the music.
Tapping it out with her gloved fingers, she would love to be out there. She loved dancing, it was a favourite sport of hers. She had many of course but dance gave her a chance to express herself in a way that couldn't be described. Her eyes continued scanning the room, hoping to find a dance partner when her eyes came across someone near her. A man with white gloves on, and neatly combed back blonde hair. Subtly she looked at him then the dance floor, before taking a sip of her cup. If the man knew how to dance she would be happy, but wouldn't ask him as it was against her social upbringing. The lady never asked to dance in her opinion, she waited. So that was what Thana did, sipping on her soft drink before continuing to tap the rhythm out on her cup softly but precisely. |

| Arthur noticed someone looking at him from the punch table. She looked like she wanted to dance if he was reading her hints right. He had been looking forward to dancing at the ball, but no one here had looked interested in dancing. They were much more interested in talking or getting punch. This girl looked like she might make a good dance partner from the way her foot was keeping in beat with the music.
Smiling Arthur put his cup down and walked over to her. He could get another glass later. "Would you care to dance?" he asked her. His eyes surveyed the dance floor quickly before turning looking at her again. They would have plently of room to dance if she agreed. |

| Thana kept quietly sipping her punch and let out a silent sigh of relief as the man came over and asked her if she wanted to dance. Listening and nodding softly. "I would love to Sir." she answered, bowing slightly as she didn't like curtseying at all. Even though her god parents had raised her as a proper lady she hated certain parts of it. Leaning forward she knew the scar on her right collarbone was visible but didn't care, it was hers and she carried it with pride.
Looking at the dance floor she flashed him a smile and spoke again, "Seems such a waste that no one wants to dance, shall we show them what they are missing out on?" Thana asked, politely yet in a happy tone. So far University didn't seem so bad, especially if there was a ball every now and then. |

| Aqua did sat in her table quietly and did drink her wine from her glass. She saw how two people went to dance. She wasn't that good dancer for sure so she didn't really wanna go to that dance floor at all. She sighed and looked once again around the room. There was so many people and almost everyone seemed to be talking with someone.
But she was here all alone and drinking the wine. She felt so lonely suddenly. She knew she has to go probably to talk with someone herself but she had no idea with who. Girl stood up since she needed other glass of wine. Her current glass was empty already. So she walked towards the drnks table. |

| (OOC: is the hand or the arm offered? I can't remember. I'm pretty sure its the arm) He noticed the scar on her right collarbone but didn't comment. It would have been rude to and a scar wasn't from anything that was a big deal anyway. He still had a few cuts and bruises from when he was a kid.
Arthur curtseyed back and he offered her his arm, remembering the tradition of the man leading the woman onto the dance floor. It didn't matter to him really, who leads or who follows. Or who asks who to dance for that matter.
He smiled back at her. "Certainly." He hadn't given much thought to everyone else not dancing but balls generally did have much more dancing and people in groups laughing in the distance at something if he remembered correctly. He often wondered what had been so funny as a kid and then if the joke had been funny at all as he grew older.

| (Doesn't matter to me ) Thana smiled as the man responded back and took his arm as he offered it, following him to the dance floor. Grateful that he said nothing of her mysterious scar, she knew it wasn't normal but was glad he was polite enough not to say anything. Positioning herself as she was supposed to, the band seeing that finally some people had started dancing started a slow waltz and Thana smiled. Apassionata she murmured quietly. She loved ballroom dancing and smiled as they started, this was what balls were for. Dances with mysterious men, some good dancers, others not as much. Thana knew she was a good dancer, but enjoyed dancing with anyone. As long as they didn't step on her toes too often. Continuing to dance with the man she realised she didn't know his name, but it didn't really matter. He was a wonderful dancer, and Thana hoped that she could have many more with him through the night if he would permit it. She silently continued dancing softly, murmuring to each part of the music. Hoping he didn't mind, she smiled and as the first dance finished she led him into the next one. Her grey eyes sparkling, and a smile on her lips. She didn't mind that they were almost the only ones on the floor, this mysterious man was a wonderful dancer and Thana loved it. Gracefully she twirled around the mysterious blonde dancer with white gloves, enjoying the night already. |

| She was a wonderful dancer. Arthur had had to change his dancing for bad dancers before. Go slower, try not to twirl them too much and avoid having his toes stepped on as much as possible. He often still managed to enjoy himself if they were a bad dancer, provided that they didn't injure anything too badly. He remembered that one girl who had accidently kicked him in the shins very hard, that hadn't been a fun night.
She- and it hadn't occurred to him that he had forgotten to ask her name- was a wonderful danger though and he loved the tune that was playing. The Apassionata he had heard her murmur.
At some point it did occur to him that they hadn't introduced each other. Total strangers, dancing at a ball, it reminded him vaguely of something he had read in a story when he was younger. He hoped that he could have more dances with her and was pleased when she lead him into the next dance. He wondered what she had been murmuring earlier but wasn't sure if he should ask and soon forgot about it. |

| Thana smiled and continued dancing with the mysterious man for several more dances before the band took a short break. Thana, out of breath did the same and gently bowed to the man as they finished before leading him to the punch table and pouring them both a drink. "You are a marvellous dancer." she said to him, "But I don't think I caught your name yet, I can't call you The Mysterious Blonde all night, would you care to tell me your name?" Thana asked politely, taking a sip of the punch and getting her breath back.
The Blonde Mystery man had been simply marvellous in his dancing, and Thana really enjoyed that. Though she tried to be sociable she couldn't, she just preferred smaller groups. Unless it was dancing, then, once she started dancing nothing else mattered. She could be with a hundred other dancers, she wondered if he heard her murmuring the changes but thought little of it. It was simply her remembering the steps, and the changes in the music. She breathed deeply for a few more moments before getting her breath back to normal and smiling at him. |

| Arthur bowed back and then followed her back to the punch bowl. He took the drink she had poured for him.
"Thank you, so are you," Arthur replied. Arthur chuckled at her calling him the Mysterious Blonde. "Hmm, not a bad nickname. I'm Arthur though. Arthur Silverstone. Sorry about not introducing myself, I guess it must have skipped my mind." He sipped at his punch, himself. As much as he had enjoyed himself it was nice to have a moment to catch his breath. "So what's your name?"
It occurred to him, that he hadn't come up with a title for her. He wondered what he would have called her when thinking back to the ball one day if he never found out her name. Something creative he hoped. It was better to actually learn her name though. |

| Thana smiled warmly when he took her compliment and returned it with one of his own, and sipped on her drink again before listening to his name and his laugh. Arthur, that seemed such a fitting name for him. When he said asking her slipped his mind she smiled again and shrugged, " It happens, isn't that how it's supposed to anyway? A girl dances with a mysterious guy, doesn't know his name but they have a wonderful night together and become friends?" Thana asked, laughing softly at what she had said.
"Sorry, sometimes I talk too much, and have a bit of an imagination. My name is Thana, Thana Semele. " she told him, smiling as she finished her punch. " Would you mind terribly if I asked for another dance? No one else seems willing, despite our trying to persuade them with our own." Thana joked, in truth some more people had gotten up but no one was really looking for partners. " Though if you are here with someone I don't mind. " |

| Arthur shrugged. "Maybe." He laughed too.
"Its fine, there's nothing to be sorry for." He had been thinking of a similar thing as they danced. The Masquerade was for making friends, wasn't it? He finished his punch. "I'd be delighted to." He hadn't been thinking of persuading anyone nor did he expect her to ask her to dance again but another dance sounded lovely. He scratched his head. "I'm not here with anyone. I came here by myself I'm afraid. What about you? Is there a date or friend I'm keeping you from?" He said good naturally but if there really was then he would feel guilty. He hadn't wanted to ruin the ball for anyone. |

| Letting a soft laugh escape from her lips Thana listened, glad he agreed for another dance. Extending her hand she smiled and waited for him to finish his drink.
I'm not here with anyone. I came here by myself I'm afraid. What about you? Is there a date or friend I'm keeping you from?"
Thana smiled and shook her head, "No I came alone and have only seen one person I know so far. But my friend is with her group and I would rather dance. It's why I come to these things, dancing makes me happy." She admitted, giving him another smile. " And it makes me talk too much." Thana joked, hoping she hadn't scared him off yet. |
